Camp Director of Food Service (Summer/Seasonal)

The Director of Food Services is responsible for the operations and daily activities of all Hat Creek Camp food services. They are responsible for every single meal that a guest has at Hat Creek Camp. A few of the main duties of the Director of Food Services are greeting campers, ordering food supplies, dealing with camper food allergies, and managing the K-Krew team.
The Director of Food Services should have five years of experience in the restaurant industry or related field, as well as a high school diploma or GED equivalent. One of the most important skills that the Director of Food Services will have is attention to detail. Another skill is organization as the Director of Food Services will have to be able to run all food services effectively.
Responsibilities for the Director of Food Services
- Budgeting the weekly expenses of the camp
- Solve any camper/staff complaints or issues
- Follow all food safety regulations
- Schedule staff and cover for any shifts
- Set long term goals for the food services of the camp
- Ensure high quality food comes from the kitchen
- Develop a menu for all camp programs
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Bachelor's degree or culinary degree preferred
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
- Ability to forecast supplies as needed
- Ability to manage a budget
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to give constructive criticism to employees
- Ability to create policies for camp staff to follow
- Amazing leadership abilities
- Participate and successfully complete required pre-summer camp training
- Starting salary of $300 per week depending on experience
- Meals will be provided while summer programming is taking place at camp
