We are seeking a Finance Manager to drive strategic thinking and business partnership for the US Prime program. A successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, highly analytical, comfortable with creating data driven narratives, customer obsessed, and have a willingness to navigate ambiguity. They must be comfortable contributing to plans presented to senior leadership (SVP level) as well as having a high bar for data fidelity.This highly visible role will partner with US Prime team to support the key finance activities surrounding Amazon’s Prime program, including forecasting, strategic planning/goal setting, financial modeling, and ad hoc analysis. This highly visible role will coordinate with numerous stakeholders across Retail Stores, WW Prime, and US Prime Benefits (Prime Video, Prime Gaming, Shipping, etc.) as the central driving contact for the holistic US Prime view. A successful candidate requires an uncanny ability to work across stakeholder groups and evaluate tradeoffs between business focused requirements and technical limitations and priorities.Key job responsibilitiesPartner with various cross org finance and business teams to evaluate financial trade-offs and steward US Prime toward new strategic opportunities.Evaluate key initiatives and processes to drive alignment and consistency in measurement of program performance.Be able to take ambiguous and unmeasured challenges and develop a framework with KPIs to measure team success.Perform market research using internal and external data sources and synthesize complex and nuanced data into key actionable takeaways for senior leadership and partner business teams.Lead automation efforts of critical processes.Lead monthly/quarterly/annual planning and forecasting cyclesAbout the teamThe US Prime team is focused on delivering the most engaging, satisfying, and loved membership program that drives the Amazon flywheel by growing the member base and accelerating engagement with Prime benefits.Basic Qualifications5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experienceBA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experiencePreferred QualificationsMBA, or CPAKnowledge of SQL/ETL6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experienceExperience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
