DescriptionAmazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key member of the Amazon Q team. This role will own end to end finance support including P&L management and planning for Amazon Q. Additionally, this role will drive strategic new feature launches and process improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage multiple and time sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.Key job responsibilitiesTake the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performanceOwning end to end P&L management, and influence business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expendituresSupport strategic new features launch and ad-hoc requests and assist in various requests from finance and business leadership.Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.Basic Qualifications5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experienceBachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degree5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experienceExperience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of resultsPreferred Qualifications6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experienceMBA, or CPAKnowledge of SQL/ETLAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
