Department Overview

The Physical Therapy department evaluates and treats children with a range of diagnoses . For example, gross motor development delay, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, Down syndrome, and orthopedic injuries. They work in conjunction with other interdisciplinary clinics like the Down syndrome. clinic. They assist and train children and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment to promote independence.

Position Summary

Responsible for the evaluation and provision of physical therapy services to children; the accompanying written documentation and verbal communication needed to administer care including provider orders; provides patient/family/caregivers, staff, and student training; provide a safe, clean environment; provides proper care for departmental equipment; manages time effectively and promotes patient/family, provider, and intradepartmental satisfaction. All of the positions' duties are performed within Children's MN Standards of Behavior.

This is an inpatient casual position (days only) based out of Minneapolis with the potential to float to the St. Paul hospital. Potential for outpatient coverage if candidate is interested.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree from an accredited physical therapy program. Minnesota state licensure. Temporary Minnesota state licensure accepted if accompanied by proof of passing physical therapy board examination. BLS certification. Pediatric experience preferred.

The posted pay range represents rates for a grouping of multiple jobs within a salary grade. We carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Children's Minnesota.
