Department Overview
The Physical Therapy department evaluates and treats children with a range of diagnoses . For example, gross motor development delay, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, Down syndrome, and orthopedic injuries. They work in conjunction with other interdisciplinary clinics like the Down syndrome. clinic. They assist and train children and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment to promote independence.
Position Summary
Responsible for the evaluation and provision of physical therapy services to children; the accompanying written documentation and verbal communication needed to administer care including provider orders; provides patient/family/caregivers, staff, and student training; provide a safe, clean environment; provides proper care for departmental equipment; manages time effectively and promotes patient/family, provider, and intradepartmental satisfaction. All of the positions' duties are performed within Children's MN Standards of Behavior.This is an inpatient casual position, with potential opportunities to cover in Minneapolis and St. Paul hospitals, including the weekend rotation every four weeks. Potential for outpatient coverage if candidate is interested.
