Responsibilities
The Valley Health System

Job Description:
Performs venipunctures and other patient specimen collections; has thorough knowledge of testing and collection requirements, Requires moderate supervision.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Acceptable phlebotomy training program.
Technical Skills: Basic computer knowlege required.
License/Certification:
Phlebotomy certification required upon hire (Laboratory Assistant or Point of Careanalyst license may be substituted for certification). Licensed Practical Nurse,License Advanced EMT and Licensed Paramedic are also accepted. If nationalcertification then Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care Analyst licensure with theState of Nevada within 6 months of hire.
Other:
Prefer previous experience as a Lab Assistant, phlebotomist, emergency roomtechnician, LPN or paramedic with phlebotomy skill set.
