Responsibilities
Desert View Hospital is a 25-bed, acute care hospital set in a rural community. Desert View provides safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. We provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.

Performs venipunctures and other patient specimen collections Has thorough knowledge of testing andcollection requirements, Requires moderate supervisionQualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Acceptable phlebotomy trainingprogram.
Technical Skills:
Basic computer knowledge required.License/Certification:
Phlebotomy certification required upon hire (Laboratory Assistant or Point of Careanalyst license may be substituted for certification). Licensed Practical Nurse,License Advanced EMT and Licensed Paramedic are also accepted. If nationalcertification then Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care Analyst licensure with theState of Nevada within 6 months of hire.
Other:
