Job Description
Support sales activities as a strategic and high-level technical resource supporting vital pre-sales engagements and key opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain:Core competency on Fortinet's Security Operations product line and technologies.Expert-level technical and marketing knowledge in Security Operations with technologies such as FortiNDR, FortiDeceptor, FortiSandbox, FortiEDR, FortiSIEM and FortiSOAR
Product knowledge of Fortinet's key competitors.Act as subject-matter expert to support US based Field Systems Engineers in pre-sales design reviews and serve as authoritative consultant by providing technical guidance and leadership.
Participate with SE peers to lead the design and architecture of security operations-based solutions utilizing and leveraging all aspects of Fortinet's product line to create superior solutions in competitive environments.Provide support to System Engineers at various events in the U.S. and mentor SE specialists within Virtual Teams.Write whitepapers, tech notes, and create other high-level technical collateral, as required.Interface with Fortinet's Business and Technology partners within designated technology discipline and distribute that knowledge to the field Channel Engineers.Provide status reports in timely manner and ensure communication to the Solution Architect Manager
Minimum 8 years technical experience in networking / security
Requirements
Extensive knowledge of IP networks, and protocolsExtensive knowledge of Security OperationsExtensive knowledge of SOC MaturityGood knowledge of security as a wholeprocesseskey Security Operation conceptsSecurity technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, NDR, EDR, Honeypots, Sandbox.Other, competitive products such as Extrahop, Aruba (Awake), Splunk, Palo Alto (Cortex), DarkTrace, Vectra AI and/or IBM QRadarTeam worker, focused on reaching frequent evolving objectives.Self-motivatedPresentation, and public speaking skills to various audience types, and sizes.Experience with effective evaluation process and closure (will be a plus)API awareness, and applications (will be a plus)Ability to travel.Potential Remote Position
Education:BSEE or equivalent experience, graduate degree preferred
