The Portfolio Management Program internship offers Summer Analysts a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in private equity real estate within a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and high-performance environment. During the internship, the Summer Analyst will work closely with experienced team members, gaining exposure to various aspects of the private equity real estate industry, including, asset management, development, portfolio management, leasing, capital markets, and investor relations. The Summer Analyst will assist in analyzing and evaluating real estate investments, support the preparation of financial models and market research, and participate in property tours and asset management activities. The internship is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, with a focus on developing technical skills, understanding the nuances of the real estate market, and building valuable relationships across the Firm. Those who successfully complete the internship with strong performance may receive full-time employment offers. Duties include:
Work closely with senior executives and various execution teams to provide analytics, research, and execution support for key strategic areas including business analytics, fundraising, capital markets, investor relations, investment analytics, leasing analytics, valuations, and portfolio-level budgeting and reforecasting.Develop and maintain sophisticated projection models highlighting critical investment performance metricsPlan and produce investor reporting and investor meeting deliverablesSupport equity and debt financing transactions, including equity capital raising and secured debt placementsBuild or streamline internal processes to drive operating efficiency across departmentsGain expertise in a variety of technical platforms, including Power BI, Argus Enterprise, Yardi, MapDash, and WDeskRequirements
Strong analytical, technology, organizational, and process design skillsStrong interpersonal and collaboration skillsStrong work ethic, self-motivated, and capable of effective independent judgmentAcute attention to detail and passion for qualityProficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Education
Majoring in accounting, business, urban studies, engineering, finance, mathematics, real estate, or related field
