KION North America, a leading provider of material handling solutions, is seeking an experienced and proactive IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team! As the IT Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role diagnosing end-user technical issues in the areas of applications, operating systems, hardware, network connectivity and/or user issues.

Must have proven technical knowledge of personal computer hardware/software systems in a LAN/WAN environment. Preferred Certifications: CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).

This role is located on-site in the beautiful greater Charleston area: Summerville, SC and reports to the IT Manager.

Tasks and Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Perform regular administrative functions to ensure appropriate access to end usersRespond to support calls and completing users software/hardware installationsInstall or remove software as neededFollow a pre-defined process for setting up computersTravel (drive) to multiple KION Group sites local to the Summerville, SC areaQUALIFICATIONS:

Proven technical knowledge of personal computer hardware/software systems in a LAN/WAN environment2+ years experience in an IT support/technical environment, client/server platform or with personal computerGood judgment and analytical ability essential for responding to support calls and completing users software/hardware installationsProfessional manner in person, on the telephone, and via e-mail; effective communication and follow-up/ organizational skillsAbility to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence in the IT teams knowledge of and concern for the user's business needsMust be capable of lifting and carrying a min of 50lbsEDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalentAssociate degree in Computer Technology a plusPreferred Certifications: CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
