At the American Heart Association, your contribution matters, and so does your career.We are currently hiring a Development Director in Westchester, New York and Fairfield, Connecticut. The Director will generate revenue for our Go Red for Women fundraising campaign, which includes our signature Go Red for Women event.We have a fast-paced sales type of environment with the main responsibility of driving revenue in support of our mission. We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay, based on achieving certain revenue targets.The Association offers many resources to help you maintain work-life harmonization through your changing needs and life situations. To help you be successful, you will have access to Heart U, our award-winning corporate university, as well as additional training and support, locally.ResponsibilitiesThe Development Director will achieve revenue goals and ensure volunteer leadership is recruited and developed. Responsibilities include:Solicitation of large dollar and multi-year corporate sponsorships, individual donor cultivation, peer-to-peer fundraising, and volunteer committee recruitment for the Go Red for Women campaign.Prospect and secure local corporate sponsorships and individual donations, building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and donors.Engage, recruit, and mobilize CEOs, corporate leaders, and community leaders to serve on volunteer leadership committees.Handle the annual team cycle for digital experiences/events, including securing corporate participation and motivating team members.Develop profiles of top businesses within the assigned market with a detailed plan to secure their involvement.Handle event management including planning, logistics, implementation, and evaluation post-event.Work with a Communications Director to support and promote campaign communication plans.QualificationsExperience required:3+ years of experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent experience.Knowledge of community organizations, sales, fundraising, and marketing principles.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of forming strategic alliances/partnerships with Fortune 1000 companies.Able to travel up to 75% in your local market.Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.Able to lift and/or move large objects.Preferred experience:University/College degree or equivalent experience preferred.Experience leading and cultivating high-level leaders at the C-Suite level.Knowledge of corporate and community networks.Salary range is $58,000 to $77,400, commensurate with experience.At American Heart Association | American Stroke Association, our mission is to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, religion, age, language, sexual orientation, national origin, and physical or cognitive abilities.EOE/Protected Veterans/Persons with DisabilitiesPosted Date:
