Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to:
Review, draft, and negotiate contracts
Review and negotiate leases
Resolve subcontractor related issues and bond claims
Handle labor and employment issues
Manage insurance claims with outside counsel
Negotiate and review labor agreements
Handle disputes through mediation, arbitration, and litigation
Respond to subpoenas and discovery requests
Review real estate transactions
Handle bankruptcy claims
Provide legal advice and guidance to the Company and its employees on a broad range of general corporate, financing, and international issues.
Assist with numerous issues, including corporate governance, M&A, employee relations, litigation and risk management and oversight of the Company's international operations.
Resolve payment/non-payment issues
Review prequalification submittals
Carry out job duties while maintaining Lane values
And other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
Admission to State Bar.
Experience and knowledge in the construction industry
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline oriented environment
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Highly developed written and oral communication skills
Efficiently manage a large volume and variety of transactions
Strong interpersonal management skills
Rapidly assess potential risks, benefits and consequences of decisions, effectively balancing legal and practical business considerations
