Job Summary
This position is located at the Peninsula Outpatient Center (POPC) in Burlingame, CA.
Must be willing to assist at any of the UCSF Medical Center Locations. Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays and on-call shifts.
Performs ultrasound procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention. Processes images on appropriate archival systems. Participates in performance improvement activities in the department. Maintains appropriate quality control records and participates in routine equipment testing and maintenance. Requires active ARDMS status and previous ultrasound experience.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. Required Qualifications
Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program in an approved school.Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays.Sr. level requires 2 years as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or equivalent. Principal level requires 5-7 years as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or equivalent.Requires ARDMS or ASRT in Breast SonographyNew hires who meet criteria of equivalent experience and credentials held must also have equivalent Principal Sonographer skills; the Principle Diagnostic Medical Sonographer title may be granted at the discretion of the Department.Maintain ARDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteriaThis position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations and variable shifts aligning with departmental needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer recent work experience in an acute care setting.
License/Certification
Required at minimum ARDMS or ASRT in Breast SonographyPrevious ultrasound experienceBLS Certification
