DescriptionDOCS Health is seeking a Part-Time, General Dentist to provide problem-focused dental services in the greater Albany, NY area. This will cover three facilities:
Fulton County Correctional Facility, Schoharie County Jail and Sullivan County Jail .Candidate must possess strong diagnostic and clinical skills with an emphasis on oral surgery. This is a unique opportunity for Dentists looking to earn supplemental income without the administrative responsibilities, “selling of dentistry," or overhead costs associated with a traditional private practice. DOCS manages all staffing, documentation, invoicing/billing, and ordering of dental supplies, including PPE and instrumentation. Access to DOCS’ Chief Dental Officer 24/7 for clinical consultation and support.Consistent Schedule:
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - once a month from 7:30am to 3:30pmDental assistant providedTravel accommodations paid by DOCSLogistics arranged by DOCSLong-term supplemental incomeMalpractice reimbursementResponsibilities:Perform dental services within designated hours of operations.Utilize universal precautions for patient dental care.Exam, diagnose and treat patients consistent with professional standards and defined scope of service.Document patients’ needs for every dental encounter utilizing the SOAP format, update the patient health history, and obtain patient consent prior to delivering of care.Keep patient information confidential and respect patients' rights to privacy, in accordance with accepted confidentiality practices for incarcerated individuals.RequirementsGraduate from an accredited school of Dentistry Medicine (DDS/DMD)Experienced clinician preferredRecent graduates encouraged to applyOne (1) year of experience in oral surgery preferredActive and unrestricted State Dental LicenseExcellent organizational skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsGreat interpersonal skills________________________________________If you are made a conditional offer of employment, you will be required to undergo background check (including criminal record check) and drug screening.
