Job Description:Vice President, Strategy & Operations

The Role

The VP, Strategy and Operations is a key member of the Head of Operations and Business Development’s team. The team leads a range of initiatives to develop the internal and external business strategy for Soteria as well as develop and scale the company’s operations (technology development, IT operations, operational risk & controls, reporting systems, legal & regulatory processes, vendor management, and more).

Develop operational systems and drive build of internal processes and procedures to help provide structure as we scale

Establish and facilitate effective cross-functional partnerships and relationships both within Fidelity and across outsourced vendors in a highly collaborative environment

Act as a central point of contact to work across varied functional areas in order to advance key operational activities in support of a quickly growing company

Lead on-going engagements with regulators and rating agencies such as obtaining an external rating, developing and refining the business plan for regulator communication

Utilize a general problem-solving skillset and mindset to solve varied operational and strategic problems across the organization

Synthesize strategic, financial and operational analysis and primary / secondary research into strategic insights and practical recommendations to inform our long term strategy

Lead the development of external communications to key stakeholders, including Board meeting materials, focused on presenting complex information in a digestible way

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

We are seeking candidates who have the following minimum qualifications:

MBA/Master’s degree in relevant field and 10+ years of relevant work experience

Adept at leading multiple projects / initiatives at once

Expert ability to work collaboratively with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines

Background / experience in management / strategic consulting

Exceptional persuasion and negotiation skills when working with internal/external customers to resolve issues and problems

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate the insights from findings to senior management and senior stakeholders

Intellectually curious individuals with a flexible mindset

Thrives in a fast-paced environment, high standards for performance with a continuous improvement mindset
