Purpose:

The Director of Outreach is responsible for providing hands-on visionary and strategic leadership over the FPCE Coffee ministry as well as other outreach opportunities to include relational connection with all FPCE Mission partners. The Director will provide radical hospitality to all individuals by creating a culture of service and ministry fulfilling the vision of First Presbyterian Church of Edmond.

Accountability:

The Director of Outreach is under the supervision of the Executive Pastor. The DOO will work alongside his/her supervisor, staff members, and committee leaders on behalf of the congregation. The Director of Outreach is subject to the review of the Session through his/her supervisor and the Personnel Committee.

Description/Responsibilities:

Manage all functions of the FPCE Coffee Ministry.

Develop a culture of prayer with staff, volunteers, and guests.

Create a positive environment through motivation, encouragement, and recognition.

Create an environment of volunteerism.

Utilize Coffee Ministry resources to connect with people outside of FPCE.

Develop weekly schedule for baristas and volunteers.

Maintain all equipment.

Train staff and volunteers in proper use of equipment.

Serve Coffee Ministry guests as needed.

Purchase all coffee supplies.

Maintain a sanitary environment.

Build and maintain strong relationships with missionaries and agencies for ongoing partnerships, locally and world-wide.

In partnership with the Director of Family Life, organize and provide regular mission/ministry projects through local partnerships.

In partnership with the Director of Family Life, organize and facilitate all national and foreign mission opportunities.

In connection with the Communications Department, keep all covenant partners informed on the life-giving work of the FPCE Coffee Ministry and mission partners.

Oversee proper stewardship of Missions and Coffee Ministry budgets.

Participate in FPCE staff meetings, Bible studies, and service opportunities.

Other opportunities as assigned.

Passion to deliver an outstanding product in a warm environment.

Barista or coffee experience.

Experience overseeing a group of employees and/or volunteers.

Computer skills to include Word, Excel, and other software tools as needed.

Verifiable marketing skills and/or knowledge.

Organized, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Full-time

Pay:

$40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
