Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Lead to validate the accuracy, completeness, and quality of a large scale and complex implementation and upgrade of ORACLE UTILITIES Customer Care & Billing (CCB) and Meter Data Management (MDM).

The work will be located in Edmonton AB - and you must be willing to work on-site minimum of 3 - 4 days per week. If you do not live in Edmonton, travel expenses will be covered, however, you must be willing to commit to the weekly travel.

We are able to consider either subcontractors OR individuals interested in permanent employment with Sia Partners.

If you are interested in the employee option, you must ALREADY BE LEGALLY ELIGIBLE to work in Canada, holding either Permanent Residency or full Citizenship status. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship or relocation expenses at this time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure software is delivered with the right quality and reduced risk.
  • Establish and engage employees, vendor, and contract resources to ensure test strategies are communicated and understood.
  • Provide leadership focusing on roles, process, tools and automation.
  • Focus on improving the efficiency, velocity and quality of testing processes and releases.
  • Execute, Teach, Train, Coach - manage overall testing activities with different interfaces (integrations)
  • Perform General Testing (Functional and Automated testing) - To release a stable application to production.
  • Performance Testing - Ensuring the solution is optimized for its expected load.
  • Develop a testing strategy - Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of testing.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts based on test cases identified for automation utilizing the selected toolset (OUTA).
  • Outline manual testing procedures which includes writing and executing functional, smoke, sanity, integration, regression & UI testing.
  • Execute and analyze automated regression suites to ensure quality.
  • Initiate testing process improvement tasks to increase efficiency, reduce costs, simplify processes, and improve quality.
  • Create Test planning and strategy documentation in accordance with testing scope and coverage.
  • Participate in production deployment and release meetings to help ensure successful deployments.
  • Facilitate and coordinate User acceptance testing with business users.


Qualifications
  • You MUST HAVE at least 8-10 years experience in QA and/or Test Lead roles - with at least one significant CCB or MDM project under your belt - ideally in Oracle Utilities Customer Cloud Services (CCS)
  • You MUST HAVE experience working with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) and have worked on projects implementing customer, metering, and billing solutions, specifically Meter to Cash (M2C), Data for Spatial Cloud Interface (DSCI), and Quote to Cash (Q2C)
  • Certifications for ORACLE UTILITIES CC&B &/or CCS is mandatory
  • ISTQB certification will be seen as an asset
  • Strong communication: both verbal and written / documentation skills
  • Proven ability to work within a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
