SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Platform Services to lead and oversee the firm's IT backend systems. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing the IT Infrastructure, Architecture, and Financial Systems/Analytics functions, coordinating with the PMO and InfoSec/Risk teams for the planning and delivery of IT technologies with a critical focus on maturation of our disaster recovery/business continuity processes, monitoring practices, and staff-development efforts, while directly enabling and facilitating the successful definition & delivery of various governance initiatives.

This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage cross-functional teams and ensure measured successful outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical acumen, management skills, and understanding of legal workflows, ultimately driving our strategic objectives in this space.

Position Overview:
  • This position reports directly to the CIO and oversees a team focused --on the delivery of IT services as a wholistic solution, driving for a robust, resilient, optimized, consistent, and measured experience across all IT service offerings.
  • The successful candidate will possess deep technical acumen, extraordinary attention to detail, and employ people-oriented leadership methodologies, driving to implement best practices and continuous improvement processes.
  • Areas of focus to include IT Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, and Financial Systems with a proficiency in disaster recovery/business continuity practices, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, data analytics, and enterprise planning.

Key Requirements:
  • Experience leading highly technical, distributed, multi-disciplinary teams
  • Deep knowledge and expertise on current and emerging technologies
  • Strong in Project Management disciplines and IT governance practices
  • Extensive background delivering Security posture improvements within IT
  • Highly competent in Change and Major Incident Management methodologies
  • Background and experience within DR/BC practices, definition, and realization
  • Well versed in fiscal management, negotiation, and budgetary oversight
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and documentation skills
  • Highly competent in interacting with and presenting to the Executive level
  • Previously held leadership roles within Professional Services (prefer AMLaw 100)
  • Extensive background driving process improvement initiatives
  • Experience in risk/compliance and adoption of related policies/standards
  • Successful transformation efforts in cloud journey to include IaC / IaaS / PaaS

Technical Requirements:
  • 10+ years of enterprise IT leadership over multiple functions, teams, verticals

Immediate Goals:
  • Establish KPIs/OKRs across each service offering tied to metric-based goals
  • Track and report on established metrics with regular updates to executive team
  • Aide in maturing Change, Release, and Major Incident Management processes
  • Drive formal efforts for DR/BC maturation and realization of ongoing practices
  • Assist in defining and executing a long-term strategic implementation roadmap
  • Act as owner/decision maker for complex technical issues and deliverables
  • Manage budget to include forecasting, contract negotiations, and vendor mgmt
  • Lead and mentor, fostering a collaborative high-performance work environment

The budgeted salary range for this position, based on experience and location, is $185,000- $225,000.
