Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 36 hrs per week, EOW, must be able to work holidaysLength: 13 weeks
Requirements:

• IL License
• 1 year of experience- surgical experience
• Must have total joint experience
• Must have Understanding of PCA pumps, reversal drugs (narcan), sepsis management
• Experience with TPN/ Lipids. Narcotic usage
• BLS
• NIHSS

Other Details:

• Float to like units only. If floated to higher acuity it would be to work as a help all and not take a patient load.
• Charting System: Allscripts - Sunrise
• Accepts LOCAL
• Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:4-6 Nights 1:5-6 LPNs available, virtual admission and discharge nurses to assist as well. Primary care nursing model is frequently used. Must be okay with this.
• Common diagnosis / Types of patients Neuro- laminectomy, cervical fusion, LESI, belly surgery-ostomies, hernia repair, joint replacement-total hips/knees. PICC, TPN, Lipids. Fem pop bypass, dialysis catheter insertions, BKA, AKA. DM (dialysis is also located on the 3rd floor) PCA, some epidurals, iv abx, chronic pain (narcotics), sepsis, urgent OR cases.
