Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Rotating, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical experience required License: Active ND or Compact RN License Certifications: BLS, must be American Heart Association (AHA) Must-Have: Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system Job Description: - Provide care for general medical-surgical patients - Collaborate with other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care - Demonstrate competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise and knowledge - Utilize appropriate age and population-specific standards as designated in the clinical setting - Operate unit equipment including AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, and Telemetry - Float to other medical-surgical units as needed across various campuses - Participate in unit-specific training and orientation programs, including lead center training and preceptor-led shifts - Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 during day shifts and 6:1 during night shifts - Adhere to dress code of navy blue scrubs This position offers the flexibility of straight night shifts if desired and involves floating responsibilities to various medical-surgical units. Candidates should be located at a certain distance from the facility and meet all licensure and experience requirements.
