Job Summary:
Provide high level of support for Business Operations Manager, Business Intelligence Analysis, Director of Business Systems, and others in the Operations/Facilities departments.
Essential Functions:Prepare and record cash and credit card deposits; take deposits to bankCount daily tickets, merchandise, concourse entertainment, and parking receiptsUsing accounting software to assist with various accounts payable/receivable tasksUpdate financial spreadsheets to track specific revenue and expenses, and assist with financial comparisonsAssist with filing invoices and mailing paymentsAssist in the preparation for each game - set up gates and prepare money bagsAssist in game operations throughout and postgame - Supervising ticket takers, obtaining actual attendance, collecting ticket scanners, plaza games, tables, etc.Provide support for data entry and spreadsheet management.Mine ticketing, CRM, and data analytic software to identify sales trends and provide insights for fan engagement and lead generation.Assist with individual tracking assignments related to achieving sales goals and containing expenses within the annual budget.Help create data models to be used in short term and long-term planning/strategy.Other Duties:
Assist Field Operations with field maintenance - pulling tarp, clearing fireworks, etc.Assist Stadium Operations with pre-game set-up, when neededAssist the Events department with stadium rentals (IHSAA baseball finals, charity walks, trade shows, etc.)Represent the Indians at various community outreach eventsBox Office & front desk shifts in season, as assigned, on a rotating scheduleOther duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a college/university as a Junior or higher or obtained a degree or equivalent
Previous experience in a sports environment strongly preferred
Skills & Abilities:
Honesty/confidentiality and strong attention to detail & accuracy
Accounting software knowledge ideal
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a stressful environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ingenuity to take on or create new projects
Ability to work up to 14 hours per day and up to 100 hours per week (in-season)
Dates: February 3, 2025 - September 30, 2025
Hours: 40+ hours per week in addition to all home games
Compensation: Competitive monthly stipend
About the Indianapolis Indians The Indianapolis Indians are the professional Triple-A baseball club affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
