Full-timeThe Vertex Companies, LLC (VERTEX) is a leading multidisciplinary professional services firm that provides forensic consulting, construction project advisory, compliance, and regulatory consulting to insurance carriers, sureties, law firms, real estate owners, property managers, public agencies, and commercial clients.We are seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist to work within our Air Quality Services division at our Weymouth, MA office. The Assistant Project Manager will enjoy the challenge of working on multiple projects on a fast-paced schedule, working with senior staff to assess asbestos, lead, mold, and safety, as well as providing field oversight and technical support on a variety of projects.Core ResponsibilitiesConduct asbestos abatement monitoring and surveysConduct regulated materials/universal waste surveysConduct water intrusion/mold assessmentsAnalyze laboratory and engineering dataWrite summary reports for senior reviewSeek opportunities to expand client services with existing and new clients as part of ongoing business developmentMinimum RequirementsBS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Public Health, or related field4+ years of professional experience in technical activities directly related to asbestos and mold assessments, including report writing and field investigationAHERA Asbestos Building Inspector Certification and Monitor Certification (additional states a plus)Health & Safety Certifications pursuant to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility/willingness to travel for frequent fieldwork, valid driver's license requiredAbility to complete complex tasks and handle multiple prioritiesProficiency with MS Office Suite requiredAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.VERTEX offers a solid total compensation package including base salary and discretionary bonus plan.
