Responsibilities include determining eligibility, scheduling appointments, conducting follow-ups as needed, preparing and submitting necessary reports, and referring clients to all applicable agency programs.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESConduct initial office visits with all program consumers, including intensive budget review, goal setting, and analysis of need for any services.Establish necessary banking and community contacts on behalf of program consumers.Provide instruction on budgeting and banking procedures as necessary to consumers.Set up payment plans for any accounts that are in arrears in conjunction with the consumer.Establish a regular contact schedule to facilitate payment of bills and determine effectiveness of the agreed-upon budget.Enter client information into the agency database and update indicators and client demographics as needed.Maintain phone contact with consumers at least monthly to keep up to date on any reportable changes.Maintain strict confidentiality and work closely with community contacts to help maintain stability.Report all required changes to Social Security as soon as they occur.Document all conversations with Social Security on behalf of clients.Return conserved funds to Social Security as soon as notified unless other arrangements are made.Keep complete, accurate records of all fiscal activities conducted on behalf of consumers.Maintain complete and accurate case files, including intake information, case notes, income, and indicators.Establish an annual budget with the consumer that the consumer will sign off on.Assist clients in applying for property/rent rebates and LIHEAP.Maintain needed documentation in consumers' paper files and their e-files.Maintain Horizon entries with updates and changes to budgets.Complete disability reports with consumers.Comply fully with all contractual obligations.Prepare and distribute informational material and talks on the program as required.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFYING CRITERIAOne year experience in counseling, adult education, or mental health work.Must be able to work independently without close daily supervision.Excellent verbal, written, and math skills.Demonstrated organizational skills.Knowledge of county social service network and community resources.Must have a valid PA driver's license, reliable transportation, and be willing to travel in Indiana County and other counties if required.Must have basic computer skills and be able to work with various software programs.Must have or be willing to obtain Motor Vehicle Report and Act 33 & 34 clearances.Must have vehicle insurance to comply with agency standards of coverage.Why should you choose WorkLink Staffing?We provide a free job search service.Pay day is every Friday.Every employee receives apparel or a cup/mug to start their first day.We pay Holiday, Vacation, and 401k benefits to employees who qualify.Every employee working at Christmas receives a gift and those who qualify receive a cash bonus.We are committed to your safety and welfare on the job.We appreciate the local talent that our employees have and work hard for those who take the time to register.Interested?
