Senior Water/Waste Water Project Manager . In this role, the Project Manager will manage and work alongside industry-leading engineers on high-profile water and wastewater infrastructure projects for a largely municipal client base. This position will play a key role in the continued growth of our firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing and overseeing technical designs, managing projects from conceptual to final design, overseeing the preparation of contract plans and documents, mentoring staff, and executing client management activities.Responsibilities:Manage projects from development of scopes, budgets and schedules through to design and construction phase services on a variety of water and wastewater treatment, conveyance and distribution projectsLead multi-discipline design teams for projects at water and wastewater facilitiesWork with staff to produce planning documents, advance detailed engineering designs, develop and review contract documents for constructionProduce high-quality designs, reports, and models, responsible for ensuring proper quality control procedures on all projectsSupervise/coordinate/mentor junior staff; instruct them on technical procedures and review their work for accuracyCoordinate with clients and drive assigned projects to completionPlan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of projectsSkillfully negotiate contracts and develop agreementsManage multiple ongoing projectsContinue to broaden technical skills within the chosen disciplineLead team, client and public meetingsOversee, collaborate and communicate with multi-discipline subconsultants across internal disciplines/office locations to complete projects on time and on budgetPerform business development and manage project pursuitsPreferred location is BETA’s Lincoln office. Candidates should have flexibility to work from our other office locations. BETA also offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing employees to request working remotely up to 2 days per week.Growth Opportunities:BETA encourages and promotes employee advancement and career developmentLeads to potential advancement to more senior technical positions and project managementRequirementsRequired Skills:Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineeringProfessional Engineer license required10 to 15 years of related engineering experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater projectsDemonstrated strong background in environmental engineering and hydraulic modeling with software programsProject management experienceKnowledge and experience with the implementation of planning, design, bidding and construction oversight of water and wastewater projectsSkilled in writing and ability to prepare formal reportsStrong leadership and organizational skillsMust be able to collect field data and measurements; and perform asset inspections for water and wastewater infrastructure, in addition to roadway and other utility assetsMust be able to lift/move objects weighing up to 40 poundsMust be able to perform field work in both hot and cold weather (rain and/or snow)Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of timeMust have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportationAbout BETA:
