Senior Utility Project Managers

to join our team in

Upstate, New York , remotely. Experience with managing large scale transmission/substation projects is required to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Management of third-party projects including other transmission owners and interconnecting customersPlanning, Executing, and Closing Projects — defining the project WBS, Cost Baseline and OBS structure, building a comprehensive work plan, controlling and managing the risks, scope, schedule and budget of each package.Managing Teams — facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles, and managing contractorsResponsible for team KPI's and leading team to successAccountable and Responsible for:Cost /Budgeting and ManagementCommunication ManagementChange ManagementSchedule ManagementConstruction Management OversightCommissioning Management OversightRisk ManagementRegulatory and Stakeholder Management

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical EngineeringProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred10+ years relevant project management experience in electric utility projects is requiredRelevant experience with substation, transmission, or distribution projects.Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools.General understanding of utility operationsExperience with Article VIIExperience with Transmission Projects, Greenfields & BrownfieldsExperience managing large capital projectsProficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility settingExcellent leadership and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively with competing priorities and stressful situationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)The salary range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licenses and certifications; and other related skillsets.
