Summary:
Idaho State Police District 2 is recruiting for a Technical Records Specialist 1. This position provides a variety of records support functions; reviews and processes documents; determines and explains compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and policies and takes appropriate action; maintains a manual or computerized records system; performs related work.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
Provide office support requiring an in-depth knowledge of assigned program areas
Assist with customer service inquiries on the phone and/or at front desk
Process and file reports
Copy case files and CD/DVDs for the five County Prosecutors
Process criminal and drivers history requests for Prosecutors
Provide records for ALS subpoenas and FBI NICS, DOC & Justice Services
Process public records requests and Redact DVD Audio/Video
NIBRS error corrections
TIBURON entries into the Automated Reporting System
TIBURON entries for handwritten citations
TIBURON entries for Vehicle Fuel and Maintenance Logs
Transmit completed Crash Reports in eIMPACT
Track and provide crash reports to NHTSA as well as photos/videos upon request
Process abandoned vehicles and abandoned vehicle auctions
Enter and delete DVDs in data system
Maintain/order sufficient office supplies
Maintain Administrative records
Handle and/or distribute incoming and outgoing mail
Receipt in checks/money and prepare receipts for deposit
Security & Awareness Training TAC
Other duties as assigned by the Captain or Lieutenant, or other requests made by Troopers
Minimum Qualifications:
Monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors
Researching a variety of sources to resolve problems
Interpreting, explaining, and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments
Entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system.
Desirable Qualifications:
Obtaining and safeguarding sensitive information
Using word processing software to create and modify documents
Cash handling, balancing, and reconciling
