You will be working with a wide range of transportation industry technology solutions related to but not limited to transportation oriented financial business process data, capital program management, asset management, work zone management, traffic operations, and traffic modelling. You will work closely with project managers and client resources in performing this role.What You'll Do:Performs system analyses on software programs, applications, and web services.Determines system efficiency and functionality by liaising with internal departments and end-users.Reports to management and obtains approval for system development projects.Develops software programs to improve business operations and customer satisfaction.Analyzes and improves the performance of web-based customer portals and support services.Ensures end-user proficiency with new systems, programs, and applications across departments.Monitors product licenses and ensures compliance with IT industry regulations.Ensures that computer hardware remains compatible with system enhancements and updates.Promotes system efficiency and security by integrating performance metrics and encryption.Implements new advancements in the field of system and enterprise architecture.Performs other duties as assigned.What You'll Need:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, orIn lieu of education, 4 years of relevant experienceWhat You'll Bring:Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project, SharePoint, Teams)Ability to facilitate discovery and requirements gathering with transportation industry clientsAbility to communicate effectively through visual and written documentationAbility to utilize client support and feedback channelsAbility to work in a team and communicate effectivelyA keen interest in learning and staying current on transportation technologiesExceptional communication skills toward facilitating the use of new software systemsWhat We Prefer:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or related fieldMaster’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering1 year experience in the Transportation industry strongly preferredAdditional InformationVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.Locations: Parsippany, NJ (Fairfield)NOTICE TO THIRD-PARTY AGENCIES:HNTB does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or agencies.
