RegularWhat We're Looking ForJoin our Des Moines, IA office and be an integral part of growing our transportation design practice. We are looking for a team-oriented project manager with Iowa DOT and/or local municipal transportation design experience. This opportunity entails being responsible for managing assigned project(s) throughout their full lifecycle including developing the scope and technical sections of proposal and procurement documents, participating in contract negotiations, and overseeing the delivery of the project plan to accomplish HNTB’s 4 for 4 performance: delivery of quality work, on time, on budget, and to the client’s satisfaction on every project.What You'll Do:Responsible for development of the project scope and fee quotation and assists in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts.Serves as the primary client liaison and manages the project team to deliver the scope, schedule, and budgets to completion.Performs technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.Implements the firm’s project delivery plan and supervises and mentors team to overall project objectives.Responsible for/oversees project staffing, including recruitment and development of project staff.Partners with Client Service Leaders to assist with business development and building client relationships.May be responsible for the recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of staff.Performs other duties as assigned.What You'll Need:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 12 years of relevant experience.4 years of successful management of engineering projects.What You'll Bring:Experience in delivering projects on-time, on-budget, and with quality.Ability to identify and handle risk and change management independently.Experience leading large teams using sub-consultants.Proficiency in using system tools to manage complex projects.Ability to serve as the lead interface with the client.What We Prefer:15+ years relevant experience.Professional Engineer (PE) license – State of Iowa preferred or ability to obtain.Iowa DOT and/or local municipal client experience.Microstation and Geopak experience – Bentley OpenRoads a plus.Active engagement in local professional and/or civic organizations.Additional InformationVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.Job Type:
