Participates in development, review, and implementation of the company's Emergency Management Plan. Cross trains to support and fill in for Safety Compliance Analyst and assists leadership in safety matters providing safety instruction for personnel.Education

Required:

High School diploma or equivalentPreferred:

Associates degreeWork Experience

Required:

3 years' experience in a safety related field OR 1 year experience in a safety related field with a 2 year degreeCertifications

Required:

Valid Louisiana driver's licenseKnowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.Strong interpersonal skills.Exhibits effective public speaking skills.Skills to establish and maintain good rapport with government authorities.Familiar with MS Office and internet.Self-motivated with skills to work independently without close supervision or specific instruction.Job Duties

This position will be primarily based in Baptist with travel to West Bank and St. Bernard.Schedules and conducts general safety and emergency preparedness training for personnel.Assists in emergency preparedness and response efforts.Manages life safety and environment of care standards with matters pertaining to fire and life safety.Submits required reports for Senior Staff Meeting, EOC Safety Committee as directed by emergency preparedness leadership.Assists Facility Director and/or Safety Manager with the coordination of safety matters.Manages hazardous materials/chemical waste management program.Other related duties as required.The above statements describe the general nature and level of work only.
