Job Summary:

The lead technician will coordinate the daily activities for its team, assign jobs, direct operations of maintenance personnel and work to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency. Lead and coordinate diagnoses, adjust, repair, inspect, troubleshoot, repair aircraft systems, engine, electrical, avionics malfunctions and overhauls the aircraft fleet.

Responsibilities:

Check on aircraft maintenance discrepancies, troubleshoot, and order parts to ensure proper turnover and continuation of operation for each aircraft.

Effect liaison with the pilot, as required, to discuss maintenance log items as entered by flight crews.

Ensure that all departing aircraft are airworthy in accordance with FARs and the Aztec Airlines Manuals.

Document all work or servicing performed, ensuring all equipment required for the conditions of the flight is aboard and properly stowed.

Plan, direct, layout, and coordinate the activities of the assigned maintenance department; supervise the maintenance department.

Inspect and repair aircraft open job items plus routine maintenance.

Inspect and diagnose defects.

Work the line and also delegate duties.

Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.

Overhaul and test parts or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.

Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul equipment.

Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs.

Examine and inspect the work done by the staff.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the Director of Maintenance.

Job Qualifications:

Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate for 5 years.

Valid Passport, Valid Driver’s License and able to pass the contingency hiring.

High School Diploma (GED).

5-7 years maintenance and supervising experience in a hangar or line environment.

Full understanding of applicable FARs, manuals, safety standards, and airworthiness.

Must own toolbox and tools.

Preferred experience on Piper Navajo Chieftain, Beechcraft, and Cessna 208 Caravans aircraft.

Within 6 months of obtaining position, must have successfully completed Company's fleet familiarization and handling.

Within 1 month, be proficient in ground handling company aircraft.

Must be flexible to multiple working schedules, holidays, and weekends.
