Lead and coordinate diagnoses, adjusts, repairs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs aircraft systems, engine, electrical, avionics malfunctions, and overhauls the aircraft fleet.Responsibilities:Checking on aircraft maintenance discrepancies, troubleshooting, and ordering parts to ensure that proper turnover and continuation of operation for each aircraft is carried out.Effecting liaison with the pilot, as required, to discuss maintenance log items as entered by flight crews.Ensuring that all departing aircraft are airworthy in accordance with FARs and the Aztec Airlines Manuals.Ensuring all work or servicing performed is properly documented, and that all equipment required for the conditions of the flight is aboard and properly stowed.Planning, directing, laying out, and coordinating the activities of the assigned maintenance department. Responsible for supervising the maintenance department.Inspecting and repairing aircraft open job items plus routine maintenance.Inspecting and diagnosing defects.Responsible for working the line and delegating duties.Reading and understanding operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.Overhauling and testing parts or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.Fitting bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul equipment.Diagnosing faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs.Examining and inspecting the work done by the staff.Performing other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the Director of Maintenance.Job Qualifications:Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate for 5 years.Valid Passport, Valid Driver’s License, and able to pass the contingency hiring.High School Diploma (GED).5-7 years maintenance and supervising experience in a hangar or line environment.Full understanding of applicable FARs, applicable manuals, safety standards, and airworthiness.Must own a toolbox and tools.Preferred to have experience on Piper Navajo Chieftain, Beechcraft, and Cessna 208 Caravans aircraft.Within 6 months of obtaining the position, must have successfully completed the Company's fleet familiarization and handling.Within 1 month, be proficient in ground handling company aircraft.Must be flexible to multiple working schedules, holidays, and weekends.Desired Skills:Leading and supervising skills.Hands-on tasks.Proficient troubleshooting.Excellent communicator and a team player.
