As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming our raw data into actionable insights. Your expertise will be instrumental in interpreting complex datasets and presenting them in a clear, compelling manner. By leveraging your analytical skills and business acumen, you'll provide valuable intelligence that drives informed decision-making across our organisation.

We're seeking more than just a report builder; we need a skilled data interpreter who can translate intricate information into clear, actionable insights accessible to colleagues. Your ability to communicate complex data stories effectively will be key to influencing strategic decisions. The insights you generate will have a direct impact on our operations, client service quality, and overall business growth.

About the roleYou will be responsible for creating sophisticated data visualisation solutions that are both aesthetically pleasing and functionally robust. You will work in close collaboration with teams across Mourant to comprehend their specific needs and translate these into visual analytics that inform, drive and inspire action by:

Designing and developing advanced business intelligence solutions (such as PowerBI dashboards) that effectively communicate data insights and facilitate data-driven decision-making throughout the organisation.

Engaging with stakeholders to thoroughly understand their data requirements and delivering solutions that exceed their expectations.

Ensuring data accuracy and integrity, thereby building confidence in your work across the company.

Conducting training sessions to empower our teams to fully utilise the analytics tools and dashboards available.

Staying abreast of the latest developments in business intelligence tools and data visualisation techniques, continuously pushing the boundaries of what's achievable.

Working side by side with Data Engineers and other skilled specialists in the Data & Analytics team.

Providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

About you - essential requirements

Proven expertise in business intelligence, with a portfolio demonstrating impactful dashboards and analytics solutions that have significantly influenced user behaviour and decision-making processes.

Proficiency in at least one major business intelligence tool (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Looker) and the ability to adapt to new tools as required.

Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with data manipulation languages such as DAX or MDX.

A keen eye for design, with the ability to create visually appealing and intuitive data presentations.

Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively.

The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple projects efficiently.

Experience in business intelligence or a related field.

It would be nice if you:

Have experience in the financial services or legal sector.

Are familiar with data privacy standards in the financial industry.

Have a degree or professional qualification in a data-related field.

Are a lifelong learner, always exploring new ways to visualise and present data.

Have experience leading small teams or mentoring junior analysts.
