Responsible for managing projects involving department, cross-functional teams, or multiple business units focused on the delivery of a product or programResponsible for end-to-end project management from initiation through monitoring and controlOversees and coordinates all aspects of project and serves as manager for project team who are the liaison between the PMO, line management and other departmentsEnsures the implementation of PMO governance, project measurement and monitoring, and controls required to monitor the overall health of the project and performance to the business caseImplements risk management process to assess project risks and issuesLeads the effort with the project team to develop risk and issue mitigation to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goalsOrganizes interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget constraintsMay oversee customer business requirements, providing non-technical and some technical support and directionThis position is in a matrix type of organization, where the position does not have direct responsibility over resources and systems development but does have overall project management responsibilityProvide oversight / manage / lead, business process integration, transition projects, and technology projects and activities of defined span and complexityLead and direct strategic project executionThese can be multi-year efforts and could involve system re-platform, business process re-design and process transition / integrationMaintain project portfolio and pipeline of projects; leverage SmartSheet usage to provide BU level viewsInfluence and gain commitment for initiatives and recommendations from multiple stakeholdersWork collaboratively within all partners, including the business, McKesson Technology, FP&A and Six Sigma teams to identify opportunities within Finance teams and to track business case/ROI for strategic initiativesActs as a resource for colleagues with less experience, may direct the work of others without formal management responsibilitiesExerts significant latitude in determining objectives of assignmentAnticipates change and directs or redirects effortsProvide executive level presentation updates on initiativesCoordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed and facilitate vendor relationship reviews to support vendor managementIdentify opportunities to evolve the Project Management methodology and playbookIdentify synergies to optimize project collaboration and communicationContinued focus on developing self and others through demonstration of Project management best practicesChange Management/Leadership experience (stakeholder analysis/impact/engagement, communication)Benefits
