Position Summary

Potawatomi Training, LLC

(a federal government contractor) is seeking a qualified

Senior Project Manager

who manages contracts and task orders for the organization. The PM is responsible for developing program documentation to support the organization's strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long-term goals. The Sr. PM is responsible for operating plans for programs, running multiple teams/projects, and writing program funding proposals. Additional requirements include mentoring of new employees/staffing, boost morale and teamwork, ensure all projects are delivered on time, exceed customer expectations, and are maintained within contract budgets.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Government Contract/ TO Requirements:The Program Manager has full authority to act for the contractor on all contract matters relating to daily operations of the task order projects:

Provide project management support under this Task Order (TO). This includes the capture of historical, current, and planned work into an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) which accounts for all competency development work being accomplished by the Government. PM must develop project risk analysis and provide guidance in resource or task conflict resolution. This IMS shall be kept current through the duration of the Period of Performance and delivered to the Government weekly as indicated in Deliverables (Section 7).

Provide a project plan template which will be utilized to standardize the competency development projects. This project plan shall capture all major phases of competency development in addition to any specific tasks required to accomplish project goals. This template shall be revised as necessary based on overarching project needs or as determined by the Government.

Provide upon request an hour-long training session to Government personnel on project management best practices. The Government may waive this requirement based on Government personnel availability. Any accompanying training materials shall be delivered during the training sessions and kept on file with the Government for future reference. There will be no more than thirty (30) Government attendees for each session. The training can be delivered virtually or face-to-face in a training room with necessary visual presentation equipment which shall be provided by the Government.

Provide communication plans, meeting agendas and meeting minutes as directed by the Government. The PM must create templates for these documents which shall be utilized by the project manager and the Government.

Present status briefings to General Officer or equivalent-level audiences. Status briefings are expected to occur no more frequently than monthly. Status briefings will include the preparation of support materials.

Education, Experience & KSA Requirements:

EDUCATION:

Must have a bachelor’s degree with a working knowledge of competency development projects.

Must have current PMP certification.

Minimum of eight (8) to ten (10)+ years of experience as Senior Level Manager

Minimum of seven (7) years of demonstrated management or project level management experience

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum eight (8) to ten (10)+ years management experience with Government contracts

Must have experience supervising multiple locations across the United States

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

Must have at least 8-10 years of experience in project and resource management

Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, cost and schedule estimating, systems disciplines, engineering specifications and commercial practices relating to weapon systems procurement and production

Knowledge of overall organization, direction, and requirements of the contract efforts

Minimum of four (4) years of experience in interfacing directly with the government designated representatives and supervising various task order activities.

Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands

Some walking and standing required. You may have to lift and carry equipment (i.e. books, tools) weighing approximately 10-15 pounds.

Most of the work is performed indoors

Work in the occupation involves making repetitive motions more than 1/3 of the time

Requires standing for periodically

Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel and bend

Work onsite at San Antonio, Texas, Randolf Air Force Base

Office time 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Flexible, CST time zone
