Position Summary:
JMT is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their Structures Group in Kennesaw, GA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of complex projects and assists Office Leader and Section Heads with business development, financial management of projects, and management of staff at the local level.
U.S. Residency Required.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesAssist with strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leadersAssist with growth of market presence in area through marketing and business developmentManage financial budget for projects and allocate resources accordinglyContribute to the production of proposalsServe as a technical expertise resource to project engineers and technical staffIdentify resources for staffing needsAssist with interviews and hiring of staff for the sectionPerform performance reviews for staff based on input from project engineers on assigned teamsLead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meeting, coaching) that supports the growth and development of team
Nonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assigned
Required SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Required ExperienceBachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited programProfessional Engineer License or equivalent10+ years' experience in specialized disciplineProject management and business development experience
Preferred ExperienceExperience working with local clients at the county and state levelSupervisory experience
Working ConditionsWork is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
