Xbox Gaming AI is looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager, Gaming AI to help define the AI vision for Gaming and partner with teams across Gaming to bring that vision to life. This will truly be a team sport. You will collaborate closely with partners across product, engineering, design, UXR, marketing, CELA, etc. to envision and build new AI-powered experiences. You will help bring the latest in GenAI technology to innovative experiences that unlock new value for players and game creators, driving differentiation for the Xbox brand and platform. You will give shape to and will drive numerous product collaborations across Gaming AI and the rest of the Gaming organization.

The candidate will have solid experience building products with AI (experience in gaming is a huge plus!). They have a proven record of product management for consumer products and have hands-on experience working with AI. They can go from product vision to execution, with all the steps in-between, anchored in user value and data. They thrive in matrixed organizations, with demonstrated ability to lead product efforts that span multiple teams. They are energized by ambiguity and create clarity for themselves and the teams they’re working with.

ResponsibilitiesDrive cross-team efforts to envision and build AI-powered experiences for players and game creators.Help define and drive alignment on a shared vision; translate that vision into a set of end-to-end scenarios and experiences.Bootstrap forward-looking incubations to test product and technical feasibility for disruptive new ideas.Collaborate with teams across Gaming to build a holistic roadmap for AI experiences shipping in product, managing dependencies across the AI stack.Partner with design and user research teams to iteratively design and test how AI experiences and the underlying models resonate with users.Partner closely with product and engineering teams across Gaming as well as the Gaming AI Science team to build, flight and, ultimately, ship AI experiences at scale.Manage collaborations with teams across Microsoft working on consumer facing AI experiences.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program managementOR equivalent experience.3+ years in Product Management with hands-on experience building and shipping features in at-scale products or services.Preferred QualificationsExperience developing and/or productizing ML-powered features.Experience working on games, gaming experiences or other parts of the gaming stack.Ability to think strategically and envision future possibilities in the ever-evolving landscape of AI, and able to translate that vision into an execution plan.Proven track record of execution/delivery for product efforts that span multiple teams.Ability to lead through influence, work across teams at scale, and effectively engage and influence teams and leaders.Ability to handle high ambiguity, creating clarity for self and team. Solid problem-solving skills.Solid communication and presentation skills (e.g., strategy and requirement docs; presenting to leadership, partners, and customers).Demonstrates high EQ, navigates challenges gracefully and optimizes for collective success (over individual success).

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
