We are currently looking for a Mechanical Specialist/ Sr. Mechanical Specialist in Pineville, LA.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Perform mechanical maintenance and repair on reciprocating and centrifugal compression and auxiliary equipment at the Pineville Compressor Stations. Perform DOT, Environmental and Safety compliance activities on the areas pipeline and compressor facilities. Specific duties will consist of, but are not limited to, operating the station, working on Solar Turbines, Reciprocating engines, valve inspection and yard maintenance, pipeline duties, and mechanical related tasks. Responsible for maintaining all tools and equipment assigned to this position. Help oversee, perform and manage all mechanical maintenance performed by employees and contractors while building job plans, loto, and records.

Be an advocate of safe work practices and be willing to serve as the lead on various projects. This position will also have the additional responsibilities to operate the station on a rotating basis and be expected to respond to call-outs and be on a call-out rotation related to pipeline/compressor activities. This position will be responsible for recognition and reporting of abnormal and safety related operating conditions, accident and near miss reporting, as well as emergency response. Successful candidate will be expected to acquire Operator qualification tasks and ECP Skills necessary to become proficient and qualified.

This position is also responsible for regulatory compliance, operations, maintenance and repair procedures as associated with the DOT. OMS (system records) work orders will be maintained in compliance with Boardwalk procedures.

Successful candidate will be required to reside within 30 miles from the Pineville Compressor Station in order to handle call outs and emergency response appropriately.

Successful candidate will be required to complete Core Blocks in Safety, Environmental and Company policies and procedures.

This position will reside at the Pineville Compressor Station 3983 Old Marksville Hwy.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

1 to 5 years of gas pipeline operations and maintenance experience or equivalent petrochemical/oil industry experience.

Excellent verbal communication skills, problem solving skills, and a history of safe work are required.

Ability to work outside in hot, cold, muddy, and wet environments and ability to stand for long periods of time and climb stairs and ladders.

Ability to utilize a PC and I-phone and manage a filing system.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet.

Ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns.

Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record with no restrictions. Chosen candidate will be required to maintain a Louisiana Class D license.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

3 (plus) years of gas pipeline operations and maintenance experience.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High school Diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Technical School or College.
