QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDLicensure as a Registered Nurse in Wisconsin (which must be in good standing)At least two years of experience in long term care and sufficient infection control knowledge responsibilitiesExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong desire to work with the elderlyMust be able to read, write and communicate in EnglishQUALIFICATIONS PREFERREDPrevious experience in long term carePossess skills in leadership and communicationCPR certifiedCOGNITIVE OR MENTAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOBRequires reading, writing, mathematics, drawing conclusions from written or computer-generated materials, making decisions from limited information, reporting information, public contact, routine handling multiple priorities, making non-routine or unexpected judgments, reasoning, applying procedures, implementing recommendations by coordinating persons and/or other resources.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB, DEPARTMENTAL EXPECTATIONS1. Supervisory: Manages training, development and performance of assigned staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce for Ingleside Manor.2. Ability to develop and facilitate growth within the Nursing Department, relate professionally and positively to facility and departmental staff and to work cooperatively with others at all levels, and to include performance evaluations and discipline as necessary.3. Perform assessments, develop and implement appropriate plan of care based on assessment and diagnosis tailored to meet the individual needs with the interdisciplinary team. Evaluates the plan of care and makes necessary changes as needed. Monitors the care delivery of staff.4. Delegates and collaborates in providing resident care according to licensure and skill levels, follows up to ensure success.5. Documents according to current standards and established policies.6. Ability to work independently with organizational skills, to prioritize tasks and to exercise judgment consistent with core values.7. Ability to model effective communications between resident, family, staff, and community.8. Must be able to identify potentially unsafe situations and to respond appropriately.9. Responsible to know, implement and assure compliance to State, Federal or County regulations and BHS policies and procedures.10.
