Senior Project Manager - Midland, TX

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager that will manage all aspects of a project from conception to closeout. You will be working to ensure that all tasks are completed within scope and budget, working under all H&S regulations, and enhancing the client relationship.

You must have experience in Environmental Consulting. As the Senior Project Manager, you are responsible for making sure you and your team are completing projects as per their contracted scope, monitoring progress and performance against the project plan. You will troubleshoot and recommend or resolve operational problems and minimize delays. The team will be responsible for resource management, project scheduling, budgets, and forecasts, and working with external vendors, subcontractors, or contractors. We will only be moving forward with candidates who are Senior Geologists, Senior Scientists, Senior Environmental Engineers, and Senior Environmental Project Managers.

You will be driving goals and business growth by:

Maintaining and building new client relationships, we are looking for someone who is professionally integrated with the Environmental Consulting industry in Midland, TX.

Managing all aspects of large-scale and complex projects.

Meeting project priorities, assigning tasks, and coordinating project staff to meet project targets and milestones.

Communicating with the clients and delivering work products to the satisfaction of the client.

Preparing designs and work specifications; developing schedules, budgets, and forecasts; selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and contractors.

Monitoring activities, allocating resources, and assigning tasks to ensure targets are met.

Estimating costs, resources, and time required to complete. Preparing forecasts for expenditures and managing scope, and schedule to meet budget.

Partnering with other offices to secure specialized resources for the project.

Conducting project meetings and preparing reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.

Coaching and mentoring project staff and assisting them in solving problems.

Coordinating with accounting for the financial management of business intelligence, invoicing, and collections.

Developing an understanding and being aware of project-related risks. Being familiar with what could go wrong on a project and how to protect the Company. Being familiar with company risk policies.

Leading safety efforts for the team and ensuring the team follows safety rules and guidelines. Responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment; demonstrating safety practices. Promoting pre-task planning for all projects.

Performing routine Site Visits and Site evaluations.

Resolving operational problems and minimizing delays.

Required Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, related environmental/engineering field, or equivalent experience.

Required Skills and Abilities:

A minimum of 6 years of managing projects and engaging people on a senior level.

A diverse background in Environmental Consulting and Remediation; environmental site assessment, remediation, risk assessment, field sampling (soils, groundwater, and surface water), Phase I ESAs, and Phase II LSIs.

Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with co-workers, clients, and subcontractors.

Ability to meet deadlines, both internally and externally.

Must be able to perform complex tasks and handle multiple priorities.

Independently problem-solve and work autonomously with a sense of urgency.

Exceptional writing, grammatical, and verbal communication skills.

Required knowledge of computer operations and standard software packages (Microsoft Office and Adobe).

Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint preferred.
