Compensation Overview:

lead-the-charge

with onsite projects for this Nashville commercial General Contractor. The Superintendent will lead all site activities and delegate all onsite actions to vendors, suppliers, and trades-partners to ensure a successful commercial construction project.This is a local position (not open to travel/remote options).Company Description:Our Client is a General Contractor with a Local/Nashville office that provides construction services in various spaces, including commercial, light-industrial, historic, healthcare, hospitality, and urban mixed-use.SUMMARY:The Commercial Superintendent will have between 5-20 years of experience building ground-up/new commercial projects with experience in site work to core/shell through build-out and c/o. The Superintendent will help plan, develop, and manage project schedules, maintain budgets, and site safety activities in partnership with the project manager & executive team.The ideal candidate will also coordinate subcontractors and vendors, manage subcontractor agreements, and supervise construction projects from design through project completion. The majority of projects will revolve around restaurant, retail, commercial office, healthcare & hospitality type structures with ground-up and build-out/TI construction requirements.Education:Construction Management (or similar) Bachelor's degree preferred. Must be proficient in computer skills and the use of scheduling software.Microsoft Word and ExcelProcore Construction Management Software (Experience is a plus)Job Requirements:Minimum of five-ten (5+) years in a

commercial construction

site-management role (5+ years Experience in commercial GC construction with successful projects including: medical, educational/schools or hospitality preferred)Ability to manage a project and interface with inspectors, subcontractors, architects, interior designers, engineers, city officials, and clientsProactive management of project schedules and budgetsAbility to successfully plan projects, forward-thinking, and able to quickly identify potential schedule conflicts and implement solutions in a budget-friendly and proactive mannerAbility to read and interpret technical construction documents in addition to blueprints, finish schedules, submittals, and equipment specsThis is a management position and does not require working knowledge of hand and power toolsUnless noted above, applicants MUST be authorized to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship.
