Job PurposeThe Warehouse Lead will be responsible for leading Warehouse Selectors from beginning to end of shift. They are responsible for maintaining compliance to all safety rules, policies and procedures. Coordinating that all reports and selection documents are ready, and that product is selected accurately, while maintaining the highest quality and sanitation standards. Exercising sound judgment in decision making during the course of business.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor for accuracy and quality control in the receiving or shipping processesLead and assist in all receiving or shipping functions from conception to completionOversee warehouse dock to ensure accurate, safe and proper loading and unloading of trucksEnsure quality and On-Time Delivery unloading, shipping and deliveryEnsure compliance of sanitation guidelinesPerform audits to ensure quality of employee workEnsure all employees comply with company and safety policiesEnsure compliance to all state and federal laws and regulationsAssist with training of new hires and other training as neededMonitor and maintain a safe environmentTake proactive measures to prevent warehouse lossesWork with upper management to identify and prioritize projectsOversee proper use of all equipmentQualifications and ExperienceUses working knowledge of all receiving, order selection and shipping operationsProficient in computer skills preferred (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)Prior pallet jack, forklift certification experience preferredKnowledge of barcode scanners preferredProfessional conduct and strong leadership in maintaining a positive work environmentStrong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks at onceWork proficiently and effectively under stressIdentify waste and offer long-term solutionsUtilize effective interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse work groupAdhere to attendance guidelinesFlexibility to work any shift as neededHarvest-Sherwood is committed to offering competitive benefits to our employees and their dependents, including paid vacation, health insurances, and a 401K plan!*We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
