Southland Holdings is accepting resumes for a highly experienced and motivated Tunneling Project Manager to oversee and lead large-scale tunneling projects from conception to completion. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution, while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.Responsibilities:Lead the planning and development of tunneling projects, including scope definition, budget estimation, and schedule development.Collaborate with engineering teams to design efficient tunneling solutions that meet project requirements and regulatory standards.Manage project budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring cost control and timely allocation of resources.Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.Develop and implement project schedules, closely monitoring progress and identifying potential risks or delays.Lead and mentor a team of project engineers, supervisors, and field staff, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations.Proactively identify and address project issues or conflicts, implementing effective solutions to keep the project on track.Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on project status, milestones, and any relevant issues.Conduct regular site inspections and quality assessments to ensure workmanship meets project specifications and contractual requirements.Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, maintaining accurate records for project archives.Participate in project meetings, reviews, and presentations, representing the project team and providing input on strategic decisions.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil construction, with a focus on tunneling projects.Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from conception to completion.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.In-depth knowledge of tunneling techniques, equipment, and industry best practices.Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges.Understanding of safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements relevant to tunnel construction.Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CMIT (Certified Master of Infrastructure Tunneling) are a plus.
