Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in planning and managing all aspects of nursing operations, including setting priorities and job assignments, in collaboration with management staff, Administrator, and Consultants.
Monitor each unit’s activities, communicate policies, evaluate performance, provide feedback, and assist with coaching and discipline as necessary.
Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, and the medical team.
Conduct regular rounds to ensure nursing care delivery, effective coordination with support services, cleanliness, and the overall well-being of residents and staff.
Manage and coordinate administrative functions in programs related to Nursing Services.
Requirements:
Must possess a valid, unencumbered RN or LPN State License. A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital, nursing care center, or similar healthcare setting.
Supervisory experience and a strong foundation in teaching principles are required.
Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices is strongly preferred.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and regulatory agencies.
Must have the knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care to residents.
A commitment to teamwork, exemplifying collaboration and support among colleagues.
Familiarity with nursing practices, medical procedures, and relevant regulations for nursing care facilities is essential.
