The Pactiv Evergreen Turlock Carton Converting Facility is located in Turlock, California, within an hour of the California Napa wine country and in close proximity to the city of San Francisco. Opened in 1957 and employing 130 team members, the facility prints and die cuts refrigerated gable top cartons for a variety of national and regional brands supplying retail groceries and schools throughout the western US and Canada.

ResponsibilitiesThe

Maintenance Manager

is responsible for managing maintenance staff, achieving results in areas of safety, preventative maintenance, utilization of equipment, waste reduction, equipment improvement, facility upkeep, and predictive maintenance. Responsibilities include managing spare part inventories, maintenance shop, preventive maintenance scheduling, and capital projects.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Manage Maintenance team:

Communicate facility goals and objectives to all maintenance team members, provide resources, and support by holding bi-weekly crew meetings, monthly maintenance project meetings, attending weekly lead team meetings, and daily production meetings to communicate goals and plant priorities.

Effectively manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs:

Schedule and plan preventative maintenance, hold pre-planning meetings, and schedule predictive maintenance such as vibration analysis and infrared scanning.

Continuously improve all Maintenance team members:

Ensure all maintenance team members are trained in safety and all proficiencies on an annual basis, providing necessary technical training.

Manage equipment improvement and capital projects:

Facilitate monthly meetings on equipment improvement and quarterly meetings on the five-year capital plan.

Manage Maintenance Inventory Group:

Communicate plant priorities and ensure proper stock levels on necessary spare parts.

Manage facility maintenance:

Collect bids on all annual contracts and perform competitive bid analysis to ensure quality workmanship at competitive prices.

Qualifications

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work “Hands-On” in a manufacturing shop-floor environment.

Candidate must be flexible to shift work.

Candidate must have unlimited U.S. work eligibility.

Demonstrated leadership skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines of multiple projects.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Understanding of the manufacturing process.

Understanding of good manufacturing practices, food safety plans, and all applicable regulations and guidelines.

Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, squat for 8 to 10 hours a day.

Must be able to wear all necessary safety equipment.

Must be willing to work on the manufacturing production floor.

Must be able to lift 10 lbs. or more.

Standard office working conditions apply.

For individuals hired to work in California, Pactiv Evergreen is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. A reasonable estimate of the current range is Minimum: $81,400 – Maximum: $135,600.
