The Account Specialist (AS) is Lockton Midwest’s entry-level position and is designed for a recent college graduate or those with 1-2 years of relevant experience. The Account Specialist is designed to provide the technical and practical training needed to develop the Associate as they look forward to a successful and long-term career with the Lockton Midwest Series.The AS provides the Risk practice with technical support throughout the client renewal and new business onboarding process. The AS is embedded within the centralized Technical Services Unit within the Risk practice, supporting a variety of Property & Casualty business insurance verticals. A high performing and successful AS will deliver transactional excellence and provide outstanding customer service in support of the broader client team.EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONSAssist in the renewal or new business process by completing certificates and preparing auto ID cards for each unit.Save all general correspondence electronically.Fulfill daily certificate requests as required for each client following Lockton’s quality procedures to ensure compliance.Obtain flood determinations as needed for insured locations.Deliver Workers’ Compensation posting notices, as directed by the team, to ensure their compliance with states’ rules and regulations.Prepare written correspondence and make calls to certificate holders and/or clients as needed, in a timely professional manner.Handle special projects as assigned.Make a positive contribution to client satisfaction and constantly strive to improve service to the clients.Communicate in a positive manner to contribute to a cohesive, pleasant work environment.Protect the confidentiality of information learned by performing the duties of the position.STRENGTHS OF A SUCCESSFUL ACCOUNT SPECIALIST
