Principal Accountabilities
Create and manage category strategies for each distinct group of assigned expenditures...
Review category strategies with assigned manager and any department leaders impacted...
Escalate to appropriate manager(s) and affected company executive management...
Manage preparation and administration of sourcing events utilizing eSourcing technology tools...
Ensure all supplier interactions are carried out in a legal, professional and ethical manner.
For supplier projects requiring onsite work performance, take prudent actions...
Negotiate with suppliers on prices, terms and conditions...
Analyze requests for extensions or amendments to existing contracts...
Ensure proper involvement of company legal, compliance, risk management, and finance...
Work closely with Operative Buying team to ensure purchase orders are placed appropriately...
Attain a level of market knowledge and maintain a level of awareness of supplier operations...
Professionally resolve problems (both internal and external) in a fair and ethical manner...
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
BEng, B.SC, BS, B.A. or equivalent university degree required...
Candidate must be fluent in interpreting and understanding engineering drawings...
MBA or Master’s Degree in supply management or equivalent university degree is desirable.
8+ years of extensive experience in procurement...
Accreditation as a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.)...
Effective personal and people relations skills...
Professional, disciplined and ethical in working with suppliers and colleagues.
Competent knowledge of Methacrylates businesses...
Competent in the areas of contract construction...
Knowledgeable about technology tools used in the Procure-to-Payment (P2P) cycle...
