Geosyntec is currently seeking a

Principal Practice Leader - Air Quality

to help us grow our South Region Air Quality Market Sector Practice in

Baton Rouge, LA, Knoxville, TN, Atlanta, GA, Houston, TX or Austin, TX . This person will have an entrepreneurial attitude, be enthusiastic, and lead business development and technical efforts focused on providing strategic solutions to our clients' most complex problems. This position will serve on our Air Quality Steering Committee and will support the development and implementation of new strategies to expand Geosyntec's team, reputation and market share within the Air Quality Practice.Geosyntec is an innovative, international engineering and consulting firm serving private and public-sector clients to address new ventures and complex problems involving our environment, natural resources, and civil infrastructure. Collaboration and mentoring are cornerstones of Geosyntec's culture. You will work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management. Specific technical responsibilities include:Business development, project management and technical lead for air quality projects related to air quality regulations and strategic advice, pollution control, emissions quantification, environmental impact assessments and compliance solutions;Maintain high visibility in the marketplace through regular client contact and participation in industry events;Technical leader for air quality matters, regulatory analyses driven by the Clean Air Act and evolving GHG regulations;Provide consulting services for air permitting and air quality impact assessments;Oversee air pollution control device selection and evaluations;Assess and develop engineering solutions using analytical and statistical techniques;Manage projects and staff, including providing technical leadership and oversight;Assist in recruiting and training additional staff;Serve in a leadership role for the company culture and values across the organization.Training:

This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm.Fieldwork:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in environmental, mechanical or chemical engineering or a similar engineering discipline. (required)Advanced degree in engineering. (preferred)Professional Engineer registration. (preferred)Skills, Experience and Qualifications

At least 10 years of air quality program and project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)Thorough knowledge and experience with air regulations. (required)Regional visibility through involvement in professional associations or trade organizations. (preferred)Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
