Senior Specialist, Performance Groups

What you will be doing:The Senior Specialist assists the Performance Groups in developing a project plan and/or analytics for assigned product categories, from member need identification to contract execution. This includes spend analysis, financial modeling, direct negotiations, internal and external terms and conditions collaboration, presentation creation for Performance Group Committees, and sourcing management within Premier's sourcing technology platform. The Senior Specialist provides inputs into the sourcing process and strategy and executes the process on multiple medium to high complexity categories. This position participates and contributes to performance improvement initiatives and special projects, focused on leadership and development.Key ResponsibilitiesCORE

Sources medium to high complexity product categoriesMasters complete sourcing cycleManages and masters complex/strategic categories and contract analyticsAbility to negotiate custom complex terms as directedDevelops supplier spend analysis, price tier analysis, and recommends tiers for assigned product categories custom to each core memberAssists or leads the creation of RFPsCommunicates with suppliersCompletes pricing/savings negotiationsCreates PowerPoint presentations that provide succinct and informational messagesValidates the completeness of suppliers product and pricing filesAssists in the development of award recommendationsAssists in the creation of the final contract

Analytics

Design and provide day to day management of analytic projects with assigned membersAnalyze market trends, product usage, and spend historyDevelop and deliver communication of analytic insightsLead analysis of and model projects involving data related to the healthcare supply spend of specific Premier membersPerform financial analysis ensuring accuracy via various methodologiesIdentify potential business performance improvements based on analytical data review and analysis

Project Management

Adheres to the milestones and cycle times outlined in product category workplanMonitors progress of assigned tasks in product category workplanIdentifies and informs management of deviations from product category workplan and timelineEnsures accuracy and completeness of own work

Process Improvement

Leads performance improvement projectsLeads performance, quality, and capacity initiatives

Required QualificationsWork Experience:

4 or more yearsEducation:

High School Diploma or GED (Required)Preferred QualificationsSkills: Microsoft Office Suite, Financial Analytics and Modeling, Process ImprovementExperience: Coursework in purchasing or supply chain, healthcare, logistics, materials management, finance, operations, project management, technology, business intelligence tools, leadership trainingEducation: Bachelor's degreeAdditional Job Requirements:Remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of timeBe adaptive and change priorities quickly; meet deadlinesAttention to detailOperate computer programs and softwareAbility to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formatsWorking Conditions:
