About The Role

Come lead operations for an early-stage, fast growing, health and wellness supplement brand based in Los Angeles.This role is primarily responsible for operations, supply chain and fulfillment with the additional involvement and support for the financial reporting function critical for business planning. Key focus will be to ensure cost effective availability of finished goods through optimization of the entire supply chain. This will require managing raw material suppliers, logistics providers as well as contract manufacturers and the associated inventories. The role is also responsible for developing and managing the on-time and in-full delivery of customer orders working closely with the e-commerce and finance team to manage fulfillment and ecommerce products. Role will report to the President, and work closely with key cross functional teams on demand forecasting, systems improvement, innovation ingredient sourcing, and COGs optimization priorities.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the company supply chain from production planning and procurement through to fulfillment of customer orders (wholesale, AMZ, and DTC).Manage external vendors including co-packers, raw material suppliers, and other logistics vendors.Create systems and processes to successfully deliver against operational targets and KPIs.Plan, develop, and implement strategies for operational management to meet organizational performance plans and gross margin targets within agreed budgets and deadlines.Working closely with Marketing, Innovation/Product, and Finance teams, implement COGs improvement initiatives (co-manufacturing, ingredients sourcing, packaging, and logistics).Own the DTC and fulfillment 3PL relationship, evaluating performance, efficiencies and vendor selection.Establish and maintain appropriate processes and dashboards for measuring necessary aspects of business operations, including fulfillment.Monitor, measure, and report on operational issues, opportunities, development plans, and achievements.Develop continuous process improvement strategies to drive operational efficiencies and cost savings.Monitor logistics of orders and work with vendors for freight utilization to minimize case delivery costs.Ensure order fulfillment, invoicing accuracy, and cash collection.Execute the interface between demand and supply planning.Manage month-end responsibilities related to inventory.Assist with key financial planning and reporting (forecasting, tracking, reporting, and financial and operational analysis).Develop key relationships with existing and potential vendors to provide better pricing, terms, and unique innovation opportunities.JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate level education.5-7 years’ experience in the CPG industry (supplement experience preferred).Previous experience driving operational efficiencies in a manufacturing environment.Experience as the primary point of contact and manager of company suppliers, vendors, and co-packers.Experience working within a DTC or E-commerce business.Ability to manage third parties in the efficient and timely production of product to meet customer demand and maintain satisfactory inventory levels.Strong communication skills are essential given the global, multi-country footprint of the business and management team.Ability to motivate teams to produce quality results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage multiple programs.Critical attention to detail and follow-up.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in an entrepreneurial environment.Ability to work independently and as part of a small team, flat structure environment with the ability to get things done without the stress that can often be associated with supply chain and operational issues.Highly analytical, organized, proactive, and motivated.A positive, can-do attitude is essential along with initiative, superb planning skills, and the ability to anticipate and solve problems before they have the chance to have a negative business impact.The secondary responsibility to support the business planning and reporting function, will mean the individual has well developed financial and quantitative skills.
