This position will be responsible for the purchase of materials and services in support of Commercial and Federal Government programs. The Senior Buyer shall coordinate purchasing efforts with project personnel; execute electronic purchase requisitions for a wide variety of materials and services; negotiate terms and conditions, work with suppliers to achieve cost savings, and ensure the requirements for purchased items are executed in a cost-effective and timely manner. Issues relating to delivery, quality, and pricing must be promptly conveyed to the supplier, project, and management personnel and resolved in a timely manner. Additionally, the Senior Buyer will be responsible for entering and updating purchase orders and other procurement actions within the electronic purchasing system.Additional duties include but are not limited to:Partnering with the Operations Team by participating in the Proposal process to proactively identify and source select vendors, conducting due diligence and analysis based on criteria such as price, quantity, quality, and delivery to meet the procurement requirements of the effort.Working with the Requisitioner to communicate purchasing procedures and ensure complete and accurate purchase requisitions are entered into the purchasing system.Developing Request for Proposals/Quotes for vendors and analyzing Proposals/Quotes to ensure all required proposal information has been submitted.Independently reviewing and negotiating terms & conditions.Negotiating pricing with vendors to achieve maximum cost savings for ENSCO, Inc.Processing purchasing transactions in the purchasing system and awarding purchase orders within assigned signature authority to vendors in accordance with state and federal regulations and ENSCO, Inc.
